Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Wednesday replaced the Chairman of Kano Pillars Football Club (Sai Masu Gida), Surajo Shuaibu Yahaya, with the Chairman of Kano State Sports Commission, Ibrahim Galadima.

The League Management Company (LMC) had on Saturday night expelled Kano Pillars Chairman, Suraj Yahaya, from the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) “with immediate effect”.

LMC said the expulsion of Suraj Yahaya was due to his offence of assaulting Match Officials.

Ganduje in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary Abba Anwar said “As Kano Pillars is facing more competition in National Premier League (NPL) it will be good to have leadership that could perfectly lead the Club.”

“Ibrahim Galadima, Chairman of Kano State Sports Commission, will now replace the current Chairman of Kano Pillars FC, Surajo Shu’aibu Yahaya, in an acting capacity, before the appointment of a substantive Chairman,” governor Ganduje reveals, in the statement.

The statement said the appointment is with immediate effect.
