The Kano State Governorship Candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party , (NNPP) Abba Kabiru Yusuf has vowed to resist recurrence of inconclusive election of 2019 that allegedly robbed him of its mandate in the 2023 general elections.

Abba Kabiru Yusuf, popularly called Abba Gida Gida stated this on Wednesday through his Spokesman, Sanusi Bature Dawakin-Tofa at a news conference held in Kano, noting that Abba Kabir-Yusuf, has finally concluded plans to officially unveil his blueprint to the general public and inaugurate the state campaign council.

He said the party would vehemently legally ensure that indigencies of 2019 general elections and intimidation of its party members are resisted.

“This time around, we would not tolerate any form of intimidation from any quarters as we remain resolute democratic principles and operate within the confines of the electoral act 2022 as amended and the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he said.

While reiterating the commitment of the state’s most powerful opposition party in championing an issued based campaign that is devoid of malice, witch-hunting and blackmail so as not to heat the polity, he calls on all security agencies to remain just and fair through the professional conduct of their civic responsibilities by creating a level playing ground for all candidates.

According to the spokesperson, the gubernatorial candidate is overwhelmed by the sustained momentum and perseverance of his teaming supporters and the good people of Kano state from the inception of his candidature in 2019.

He also expressed confidence that the will of the people would prevail and that every vote would be counted.

Bature pointed out that the state party leadership is fully aware of the shady dealings of syndicates of politicians who collect permanent voter’s cards (PVC) from potential voters in an effort to prevent them from exercising their civic rights.

” Our party has placed the necessary mechanism to track, report and pursue legal action on any individual or group found to be engaged in this heinous act that is contrary to the provision of the law.

” On behalf of our boss, His Excellency Abba K. Yusuf, we wish to extend our profound appreciation to the teaming youths, candidates, support groups and other party stakeholders for their colorful participation in the recent commissioning of the state campaign office by our able leader Sen. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso.’’

“Gentlemen of the press, on behalf of the leader and presidential candidate of our great party, Engr. Sen. Dr. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, FNSE, we wish once again to commend the efforts of party officials party, key stakeholders and other party members for their unalloyed loyalty to the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), ” he added.

”It might be noted that on October 12, The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared all gubernatorial and state assembly campaigns open.”
