Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has congratulated the Chairman of Ungogo local government council, Engr. Abdullahi Garba Ramat, for being among 50 Most Influential Young Leaders in Africa, which also earned him (Ramat) an Award of Accomplishment, from His Highness the Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Rashid Bin Majid Al-Mu’alla.
“We came to understand that at Pan African Youth Leadership Foundation event which took place in Dubai recently, our own and a hardworking Chairman of Ungogo LG, Engineer Abdullahi Garba Ramat, became an exemplary young personality on the African continent,” Ganduje said in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar, in Kano , on Thursday.
The statement said both the choice and the Award, according to the governor “…is not only a welcome development, it is a global certification and attestation that Engineer Ramat excels in the delivery of good governance to his people.”
”Governor Ganduje appreciated that, being an excellent performer in the chosen areas of performance, Ramat will be leaving behind good footprints for others to follow.”
“We also appreciate his good performance in the areas of youth leadership, social justice among his subjects, protection and promotion of human rights, entrepreneurship development, promotion of peace, inclusion and advancement of innovation and technology in his style of administration and promotion of democracy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” he commended in the statement.
‘’While calling on youth across the continent to emulate Ramat, governor Ganduje appreciated how Al-Mu’alla in his words described Ramat, as a young leader who is up and doing in creating “…a common platform to empower youth network within the world and to motivate young people to be good leaders in their respective countries.”
